Message from the President

Rodel_VizcondeGreetings, my fellow alumni! It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Adamson University Alumni Association Inc. If only technology could permit, I would reach my hand out through the monitor to shake yours and give you a hug to thank you for taking the time to visit this website, but until then I will reserve it for when you visit us in the office, which I do hope will be soon.

Since the Alumni Association was formed, its goal has always been to keep the community of Adamsonians connected no matter how far apart their journeys have taken them. Right now, we are taking steps to rekindle that mission of linking the alumni together. If you are reading this, then we have succeeded in bringing you one step closer to reuniting with your old classmates, professors and the halls that once housed your academic growth and development. This website is but one of the many ways we are reaching out to our brothers and sisters around the world who are cannot make it to Adamson regularly.

To bring the Adamson community to you, we have started setting up alumni chapters, not only throughout the Philippines, but also around the world. We know that not everyone can make it back to 900 San Marcelino Street, Ermita Manila, so the local chapters will serve as your bridge to our home. They will be disseminating news regarding the University, conducting projects and other activities, so I do encourage you to see your local chapter, or if none exists where you live, form one and get in touch with us at the Mother-association.

It must have been ages since you last stepped into our University. We understand that you’re probably too busy and your schedule does not permit you to take such a detour. But if you’re looking for an excuse to visit us anytime soon, maybe it’s time to renew your Alumni Membership Card. Aside from updating your information in our database so we can inform you of the latest in alumni events, the Alumni Membership Card now brings benefits and discounts in different establishments, the list of which is still growing.

Every year the University welcomes home its sons and daughters who have learned to spread their wings. Our next homecoming will be on February 21, 2015 and hope to see all of you there. I guarantee you that after being in such an occasion, seeing other Adamsonians share their stories of success; you will not hesitate to raise your head in pride upon being called an Adamsonian.

The Alumni Association is constantly finding more ways to improve its reach to the Adamsonians around the world and to make being an alumnus a great source of pride. Like Adamson University, our doors are always open to welcome you. If you have any ideas to help us on our mission, please do e-mail us or better yet, visit us at our office and we’ll talk about it over some coffee.

Sincerely,
Mr. Rodel M. Vizconde
